Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Init Towinit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Staph Aureus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Init Towinit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Staph Aureus!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aureus shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Towinit is trying to defend but Aureus finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Towinit keeping hold of Aureus's head, controlling as best he can.
Towinit trying to control but Aureus postures up.
Aureus thows a huge punch but Towinit dodges it nicely.
Towinit on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Towinit tries to get out of the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Aureus thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Towinit is trying to control but can't.
Aureus has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Init Towinit.
Aureus takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Towinit stuffs the takedown attempt from Aureus. Aureus gets slowly back to his feet.

Aureus fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Towinit sprawls well initially but Aureus persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Towinit avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Aureus.
Aureus passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Towinit!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Aureus is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Towinit has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Towinit is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Aureus scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Towinit?


It looks like Init Towinit has been cut.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Towinit wants to control but Aureus is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aureus working away from the top, dropping strikes.


Init Towinit's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Init Towinit's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Staph Aureus!
During a confident post fight interview, Staph Aureus thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
