Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Giovanni Brunner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francesco Chiappinelli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Giovanni Brunner!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Francesco Chiappinelli!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chiappinelli misses with a double jab.
No luck for Chiappinelli with that takedown attempt.
Chiappinelli takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Chiappinelli throws a nice looking combination but Brunner bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Chiappinelli throws a series of punches but Brunner avoids them all with ease.
Chiappinelli rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Brunner moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Chiappinelli goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


It looks like Giovanni Brunner has been cut.
Brunner wants to clinch up but Chiappinelli keeps it at a distance.
Chiappinelli tries to bum rush Brunner with a series of wild strikes but Brunner uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Chiappinelli throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Brunner swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Chiappinelli tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Brunner swivels and escapes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Chiappinelli lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Brunner circles away quickly and effectively.

Brunner drops back looking for a leg! Chiappinelli is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Chiappinelli manages to kick Brunner off! Brunner jumps back into Chiappinelli's guard.

Chiappinelli had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Brunner defends it easily.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Chiappinelli can do anything to dispel that myth.

Chiappinelli bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Brunner's guard.
Chiappinelli wants to control from the top but Brunner keeps moving.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Brunner has his foot on Chiappinelli's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Chiappinelli works his way back into a safe position though.

Chiappinelli bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Brunner is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Chiappinelli's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Chiappinelli's back!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Chiappinelli covers up after that shot from Brunner.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Brunner.
Chiappinelli tries to escape but Brunner has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Brunner is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Brunner gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Brunner gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Brunner apologises and we restart here on the feet.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Chiappinelli tries to score a power double leg takedown but Brunner sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Chiappinelli somewhat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brunner has taken the fight to the clinch.
Chiappinelli is still on wobbly legs! Can Brunner finish him?

Brunner unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Chiappinelli! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Brunner is unloading with more strikes now! Chiappinelli drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Giovanni Brunner!

Giovanni Brunner gave a mention to Snap Crackle Pop Fight Gear in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
