The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
I throws the left hand but Gracie avoids the punch easily.

I gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Gracie gets control of I 's arms and successfully pulls guard. Gracie will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

I shoots in looking for a takedown. Gracie tries to sprawl out of it but I keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gracie manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Gracie is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Gracie shoots for a double leg takedown but I sprawls well. He's pushed Gracie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

I frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
I lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

I cracks Gracie with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
