PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Barba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rolls Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie has chosen Wu-Tang Clan - The Mystery Of Chessboxin as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Gracie misses the shot to the body.
Barba closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Gracie swings widly with a right hand
and Barba counters with a left and a right that stings Gracie.
Gracie scores with a decent looking hook.
Barba moves in looking to clinch but Gracie pushes him off.
Gracie swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Gracie throws a leg kick but Barba sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Gracie dodges the punch combination from Barba.

Barba instigates a clinch.

Gracie tightens his grip and picks Barba up, before dumping him to the ground. Barba manages to land in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Barba is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gracie is aware though and is defending well.
Barba avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Barba has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gracie can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Barba is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Gracie lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Gracie throws a strike but Barba rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Gracie is looking to sinch up a triangle. Barba throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Gracie's body to avoid the submission. Gracie has instead reached around Barba's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Gracie arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
