Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steven Montosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hel Sinki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steven Montosa has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Steven Montosa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hel Sinki!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sinki plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Montosa tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sinki swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Sinki lunges at Montosa with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Montosa's hand.
Montosa misses with a takedown attempt - Sinki sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Sinki connects with a crisp jab.
Montosa looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sinki is fending him off so far but Montosa persists. Nope, Sinki circles away and we're back to standing.
Sinki takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Sinki connects with a solid leg kick.
Montosa is breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Montosa on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Montosa shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sinki but Sinki pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Sinki lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Montosa shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sinki as he jumps to the side.
Montosa tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Sinki counters with a head kick. That will keep Montosa thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Sinki gets a clinch.

Sinki breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Sinki throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Montosa stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Sinki follows into mount!


Montosa is rocked!
Sinki throws some wild stikes that Montosa manages to avoid easily.
Oh Montosa is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Sinki wants to control the pace but Montosa is squirming around nicely.
Montosa seems to have got his legs back now.
Montosa avoids a series of strikes thrown by Sinki.
Sinki looking to control and managing it successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Montosa is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Sinki misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Montosa tries to hold on but Sinki postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Poor strikes thrown by Sinki there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Sinki is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Montosa. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Montosa stands and steps away. Sinki gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Sinki thuds his shin into the meat of Montosa's side.

Montosa tries for a takedown but Sinki sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Montosa could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Montosa closes the distance and clinches up with Sinki, looking for a takedown. Montosa pushes Sinki against the cage but Sinki circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Montosa throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sinki's waist but Sinki gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Montosa off to one side.

Sinki has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

A nice left hand lands by Sinki.

Montosa fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Sinki on the side of the head.

and Sinki counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

Montosa is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Hel Sinki comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sinki has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
