The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nowak gets a clinch.
Idk looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Idk breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nowak closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Nowak avoiding damage.
Nowak wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Idk is trying to drag Nowak to the mat but Nowak just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Idk wants to get back to striking at distance but Nowak won't allow it.
Nowak pulls guard effortlessly.
Nowak is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Idk frees his head nicely. Oh but Nowak has switched to an armbar! Idk is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
