Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sergio Nunes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaleo Ekewaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Nunes might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Rammstein - Sonne (Trumpdisco Remix). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ekewaka closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Ekewaka takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Nunes's corner calls for a 1-2. Nunes obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Nunes dips to his left and cracks Ekewaka with an uppercut!
Ekewaka checks a low kick from Nunes.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Ekewaka .
Nunes misses with a wild body shot.
Ekewaka needs to keep his hands up - Nunes had a free shot at his head there.
Nunes takes a swing at Ekewaka 's ribcage but misses.
Nunes comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Nunes bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Nunes dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Ekewaka ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A shot to the liver by Nunes. Beautiful body shot.
Nunes lands a head shot.
Ekewaka looks to score with a jab to the body but Nunes is just out of range.
Ekewaka fails with a takedown attempt.
Nunes cracks Ekewaka with an open hand slap.

A left lands for Nunes.
Nunes pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Nunes paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Ekewaka is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Nunes has Ekewaka pulled in close to control his posture.

Ekewaka thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Nunes is adopting a defensive guard.
Ekewaka looking to pass the guard.
Ekewaka in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Ekewaka passes into half guard.

Ekewaka is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Nunes sees it coming and defends easily.

Ekewaka is looking for a kimura but Nunes is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ekewaka to get the leverage.
Nunes is looking to improve his position.

Ekewaka is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Nunes is just riding it out for now. Ekewaka eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Ekewaka is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Nunes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ekewaka on the ground.

Ekewaka working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Nunes turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Ekewaka off and cradles Nunes's limp body as Ekewaka celebrates with his corner.
