The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters circling a little - Hernandez finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Conroy is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hernandez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Conroy.

Conroy is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Hernandez has managed to free his arm - good work.
Hernandez is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Conroy's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Conroy's back!
Conroy looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Conroy is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hernandez is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Hernandez tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Conroy cranks the arm and Hernandez screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Hernandez, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
