The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Luis Engracia and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Riley.
Riley throws a head kick but McFey moves out of range.

McFey really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...

McFey fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Riley is out of range.
Riley stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from McFey.
McFey turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
McFey blocks a head kick by Riley.
McFey throws a leg kick which misses Riley's front leg but catches the back leg as Riley tries to avoid it.
Riley fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but McFey is out of range.
Riley scores with a head kick. McFey tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Riley misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
McFey lands a leg kick that knocks Riley off balance momentarily.

Riley finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
McFey throws a leg kick but Riley moved away.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Riley enables McFey to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Riley manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
McFey chips away with some ground and pound.
McFey not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

McFey throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Riley works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

McFey is looking to work some ground and pound but Riley has wrist control.
McFey might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
McFey in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Riley has momentary wrist control but McFey slips an elbow through the middle.

McFey works over Riley with some ground and pound from guard.

McFey drops back looking for a leg! Riley is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Riley manages to kick McFey off! McFey jumps back into Riley's guard.
McFey trying to control but Riley is working from the bottom.

McFey lands a couple of elbows.
McFey is working Riley over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Riley looking for submissions from the bottom but instead McFey passes into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

McFey grinds an elbow into Riley's temple.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Riley seems a little lost for a moment, as McFey dominates the positioning.
Riley is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
McFey is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Riley's shoulder. That is not cool.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! McFey's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

McFey fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

McFey shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
A nice inside leg kick there by McFey. That's going to slow Riley down.
Riley's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
McFey tried to score with a low kick but Riley checks it.
A slapping leg kick lands for McFey.
Riley is looking to land body kicks.
McFey moves out of range of the body kick.
Riley is breathing heavily.
McFey buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McFey feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Riley's calf.

Riley thows a leg kick but McFey checks it
and McFey counters with a head kick. That will keep Riley thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
McFey is looking to slow Riley down with leg kicks.
McFey throws a body punch but Riley moves out of range.
Riley throws a head kick but McFey moves out of range.

McFey thuds his shin into the meat of Riley's side.
McFey throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Riley tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. McFey is in Riley's guard.

Riley working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McFey doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McFey manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

McFey passes easily into side control. Nice work.

McFey takes a little break here. Riley wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
McFey has an Americana. Riley didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! McFey is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if McFey hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
