Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Heartman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rapid Montez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rapid Montez looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montez throws a head kick that misses.
Heartman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Montez tries to avoid it but Heartman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Montez to the ground. Montez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Montez looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Heartman will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Heartman tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Montez counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Heartman is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Heartman gets the takedown into side control.
Montez tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Montez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Heartman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Heartman is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Montez is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Heartman trying to control the action but Montez is working from the bottom.

Heartman is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Montez knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
