Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Erik Desmond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Soprano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Soprano is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Got Yourself a Gun . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Eddie Farnsworth and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Desmond finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Soprano connects with a looping right hand.
Soprano takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Desmond takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
A solid body kick from Desmond.
Nice uppercut lands for Soprano. That snapped Desmond's head back.

Soprano lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Soprano.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Soprano throws a quick inside leg kick.
Desmond uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Soprano.
Good leg kick by Soprano there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Desmond takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Soprano throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Soprano scores with a hook to the body. Desmond takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Desmond tries a low kick but Soprano avoids it.

Desmond takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Soprano lands with a right hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Soprano throws out a leg kick but Desmond moves out of range and Soprano only half commits.
A nice leg kick lands there from Soprano.
Soprano checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Soprano dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Desmond. That did some damage!

Desmond on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Soprano with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Desmond to score with a decent uppercut.

Soprano connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Soprano lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Desmond avoids a kick to the body.
Soprano is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Desmond had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Desmond attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

and Soprano counters with a lovely straight right hand!
The fighters circling - Soprano throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Desmond tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Soprano paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Desmond looks for a takedown but Soprano sprawls well.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Desmond checks a leg kick.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Desmond.
Soprano comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Soprano lands a nice leg kick that just misses Desmond's sensitive parts.

Desmond looks to land a left hand but Soprano moved out of range nicely.
Soprano clobbers Desmond with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Desmond takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Soprano takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Soprano goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Desmond moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Desmond walks into a left hand.
Desmond does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Soprano scores with a nice strike.

Soprano throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Soprano misses with a looping left.
Soprano scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Desmond is rocked!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Soprano, right into the meat.
Desmond is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Desmond is breathing heavily.
Soprano takes a swing at Desmond's ribcage but misses.

Oh Desmond is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Desmond doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Desmond seems to have got his legs back now.
Desmond misses with a leg kick
and Soprano scores with a counter punch that sends Desmond to the canvas! Soprano smells blood - he's punishing Desmond with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Desmond has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
