The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Brown, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Brown tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Kai manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A thudding body kick lands there by Kai!
Kai scoring well with a low kick there.
Brown blocks a head kick by Kai.
Brown throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kai.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Kai gets through Brown's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Kai misses with a knee to the head.
Kai throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Browns head.
Brown struggles to land a body shot inside as Kai controls his hands.
Brown is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Kai is keeping busy.
Brown with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Brown misses with a short punch on the inside.

With the fighters up against the ropes, Kai throws an elbow but misses.

Kai is looking to sinch up a triangle. Brown throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Kai's body to avoid the submission. Kai has instead reached around Brown's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Kai arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

After winning the bout, Ashida Kai thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
