The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Putten fails to land with a series of punches.

Nogueira fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Putten to the ground. Nogueira is now in Putten's guard.

Putten slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Nogueira is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Putten is keen to just control but Nogueira is a slippery customer.

Nogueira is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Putten rolls with it to try and escape but Nogueira cranks on the arm and Putten is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

After the fight, Wesclei Cabral Nogueira was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
