Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacco Fresco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fresco has chosen Nas; New York State of mind as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jacco Fresco has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fresco misses with a hook.
Santos uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Fresco.
Fresco displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Santos.
Fresco moves out of range of the strikes.
Fresco scores with a body shot.
Fresco throws an overhand right that lands on Santos's shoulder, as Santos tries to avoid the shot.
Santos uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Fresco.
Fresco fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Fresco throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Santos fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fresco manages to avoid it.

Fresco swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Santos.
Fresco throws a right hand that Santos ducks under and follows up with a left that Santos also avoids with ease.
A jab from Fresco does it's job there.
Santos with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Fresco to score with a decent uppercut.

Jacco Fresco is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Santos takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Fresco swings and misses with a hook to the body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Santos looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Fresco sizes up Santos with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Fresco throws a shot from downtown. Santos moves away and avoids it.
Fresco looks to land a left hand but Santos moved out of range nicely.
Jacco Fresco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fresco is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Santos had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Santos closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Fresco to the mat! Fresco manages to get full guard.

Fresco is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Fresco wants to stand but Santos has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Santos is trying to maintain the position but Fresco is very close to passing his half guard.
Santos wants to improve his position but Fresco is controlling well.

Fresco stands up out of the half guard.
A decent looking cross lands there for Fresco.
Fresco ducks under a wild hook from Santos.
Fresco has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Santos doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Fresco counters with a three punch combo that has Santos backing up. Santos nods at Fresco to acknowledge the strikes.

Fresco feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Santos sprawling to the canvas! Santos rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Fresco finish him?!

Santos is rocked!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fresco is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Oh Santos is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fighters circling - Fresco throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Fresco might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Santos misses with a takedown
and Fresco counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Santos thinking.

Santos looks to score with a jab to the body but Fresco is just out of range.
Santos doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Santos seems to have got his legs back now.
Nice shot lands for Fresco.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Fresco lands a left and a right that send Santos crashing to the mat, dazed. Fresco thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Antonio Santos has been cut.
Fresco throws an off balance right hand
and Santos counters with a nice uppercut.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fresco lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Santos falls backwards - clearly groggy! Fresco dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
