PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Von Paloukos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John The Bone Breaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John The Bone Breaker told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The Bone Breaker shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Paloukos's guard.

The Bone Breaker has gone for a leg lock! Paloukos slips out almost immediately though and dives into The Bone Breaker's guard.
Paloukos stands and throws The Bone Breaker's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The Bone Breaker manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Paloukos wants to control but The Bone Breaker is keeping busy.
Paloukos is doing well to control the position and prevent The Bone Breaker from advancing to side control.

The Bone Breaker seems to be looking for submissions.
The Bone Breaker frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The Bone Breaker avoids the attempt from Paloukos to control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Paloukos is trying desperately to improve position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Paloukos wants to control but The Bone Breaker is having none of it.

The Bone Breaker working for a submission but Paloukos is keeping him at bay.
The Bone Breaker is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Paloukos is in real trouble.
I really don't envy Paloukos right now.

The Bone Breaker is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Paloukos defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The Bone Breaker is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Paloukos has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but The Bone Breaker has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Paloukos taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. The Bone Breaker doesn't care though - he's delighted!
