The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Manchu closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Beam's guard.

Beam looking for subs off his back but Manchu has passed one foot through into half guard.

Manchu is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Beam to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.
Beam wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Manchu is now in half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Beam is looking to get back to full guard here but Manchu has managed to pass to side control instead.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Beam takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Manchu is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Beam is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Manchu thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Manchu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Beam keeps working.
Beam is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Manchu is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Beam looks calm but he's in trouble here. Manchu gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Beam is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Manchu lets go of the hold and Beam can pop his arm back in it's socket.
