Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hunter Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Busta Rhymes!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rhymes throws a sloppy head kick and Jackson moves out of range easily.

Rhymes looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Rhymes working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jackson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jackson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rhymes is pushing down on Jackson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jackson is fighting to maintain full guard but Rhymes has managed to sneak the leg through.

Jackson doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Rhymes counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Jackson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Rhymes is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Rhymes stuns Jackson with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Hunter Jackson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rhymes finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Jackson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jackson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
