Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between D C Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kileki Kawike (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by Real American. Kawike has chosen Anthrax w/ Public Enemy - Bring the Noise as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, D C Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kileki Kawike!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson missing with a left hand there. Kawike was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Kawike fails with a takedown attempt.

Kawike tries to sprawl but Jackson drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Jackson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kawike's head.

Jackson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kawike is just riding it out for now. Jackson eventually gives up the hold.

Jackson winds up and cracks Kawike with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Jackson is looking to advance position but Kawike won't allow it.
Kawike regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Jackson.
Jackson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Kawike is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Kawike thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Kawike is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Kawike wants to pass the guard but Jackson is defending well.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Kawike is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Jackson reverses the position - he's now on top in Kawike's guard.

Kawike wants to sweep but no luck.

Kawike is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jackson is aware though and is defending well.
Jackson wants to control from the top but Kawike keeps moving.

Jackson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kawike manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jackson has Kawike in his guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Kawike is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Jackson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kawike napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Kawike tries to buck Jackson off but Jackson is having none of it.

Kawike regains half guard, as Jackson was trying to land strikes.
Kawike has a hand on Jackson's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Jackson takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Jackson lands a big shot there that rocks Kawike but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jackson is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Kawike has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Kawike!
Kawike is still in real trouble! Can Jackson finish him?

Kawike drops back, looking for a kneebar! Jackson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Jackson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Jackson!
Jackson scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Kawike is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Jackson can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). D C Jackson!
D C Jackson decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
