Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Willy Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hasse Bananskal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hasse Bananskal!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis cracks Bananskal with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Davis bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Bananskal's head.
Bananskal is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The fighters circle momentarily. Davis darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Davis throws a nice looking combination but Bananskal bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Sloppy strikes from Bananskal. Those never looked like landing.
Davis is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Davis is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bananskal.

Bananskal has his foot on Davis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Davis works his way back into a safe position though.

Bananskal is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Willy Davis will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Davis gets tackled into the cage by Bananskal. Bananskal maintains the clinch.

Bananskal manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

and Bananskal makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Davis really felt that one!

Bananskal jumps guard but Davis stands there with Bananskal around his waist. Bananskal gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Davis has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Bananskal after a bit of a struggle.

Davis tries to pull guard but Bananskal won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Willy Davis. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Davis is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Bananskal to keep the fight standing.

Bananskal has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Davis uses from the top position.

Bananskal takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
No joy there for Davis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Davis feints a jab promting Bananskal to slip. Davis then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Bananskal slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Bananskal is rocked!
Bananskal gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Davis gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Bananskal is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Willy Davis!
