Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Glass Joe!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shields tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Shields looks up at the clock and then as Joe takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Shields smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Shields is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Joe is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Joe prevents Shields from moving into mount.

Joe tries to buck Shields off but Shields is having none of it.
Shields throws an elbow but Joe slips to the side and avoids it well.

Joe is looking to regain half guard here but Shields keeps moving and retains side control.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Joe avoids a punch combination nicely.

Joe is working to tighten is grip on Shields's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Shields has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Joe is really squeezing tight and eventually Shields passes out! Joe breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
