The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Motion tries to keep at a distance but Oliveira has taken the fight into the clinch.
Motion looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Oliveira works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Oliveira postures up in Motion's guard and throws a big left but Motion blocks it.

Oliveira thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Motion is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Oliveira throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Motion was covering up waiting for the punch and Oliveira finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Motion is fighting off a takedown attempt but Oliveira is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Motion to the mat. Motion regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Oliveira drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Oliveira jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Motion tries to kick Oliveira off but Oliveira keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Oliveira seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Motion has hold of Oliveira's hands but Oliveira slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
