Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kaimana Kalainawai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Still (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kalainawai comes into the arena with Collie Buddz - She Gimme Love blaring out of the sound system. Still comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Laveerre - Kaasupää kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kaimana Kalainawai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Matt Still!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kalainawai misses with a left hand

and Still holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Kalainawai doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
A bit of stalling here from Kalainawai.
Kalainawai tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Still swings wildly with an uppercut but Kalainawai uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kalainawai working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Kalainawai lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Kalainawai tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Still lands a left hand.

Kalainawai digs a right hand into Still's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Still's gas tank.

Still uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kalainawai.

No joy there for Kalainawai, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Kalainawai connects with a good right hand that stumbles Still. Still circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Still shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kalainawai napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Still wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kalainawai keeps working.

Kalainawai thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Still's head.

Kalainawai stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

and Still counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Kalainawai throws his legs up looking for a submission but Still uses it to pass to side control.

Kalainawai is looking to regain half guard here but Still keeps moving and retains side control.
Still is staying tight to Kalainawai's torso, preventing him from escaping.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kaimana Kalainawai.
I think Kalainawai has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
