Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Landon Kaplan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reggie Hood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kaplan comes to the cage accompanied by Of Wolf And Man by Metallica. Reggie Hood acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Hugh Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaplan scores with a jab to the head.
Nice jab there from Kaplan.
Kaplan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hood was well out of range. Poor timing from Kaplan.
Kaplan loads up on a big right hand but Hood slips the punch.
Kaplan throws a body punch but Hood moves out of range.
Hood wants to clinch but Kaplan slips to the side
and Kaplan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kaplan throws a hook but Hood avoids it easily.
Kaplan fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Hood swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Kaplan counters with a nice uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hood tries to close the distance and clinch but Kaplan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Kaplan counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Kaplan fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Hood misses with an uppercut. Kaplan saw that one coming.
Kaplan cracks Hood with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Kaplan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Hood darts in trying to clinch
enabling Kaplan to counter with a crisp jab.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hood uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kaplan.
Hood ducks under a wild hook from Kaplan.

Hood takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kaplan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hood manages to avoid it.
Hood wants to clinch
and Kaplan counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Kaplan tests Hood's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Hood moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hood wants to clinch

and Kaplan counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Hood wants to get back to his feet.
Kaplan slips a nice elbow through Hood's hands, connecting with Hood's forehead.
Kaplan is nestled in close to Hood, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Hood is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kaplan drops an elbow to the side of Hood's head.
Hood is still in real trouble! Can Kaplan finish him?
Hood has hold of Kaplan's hands but Kaplan slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Kaplan stops Hood from getting back to his feet.
Kaplan unloads with some huge strikes here! Hood is out! Kaplan wins by brutal knockout!
