The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Estripador throws a series of punches but Pereira avoids them all with ease.
Pereira throws a sloppy head kick and Estripador moves out of range easily.
Estripador throws a right and a left that Pereira avoids nicely.
Estripador gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Pereira.
Estripador steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Pereira.
The fighters circle momentarily. Estripador darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Michel Pereira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Estripador circles away from the clinch attempt
and Estripador counters with a three punch combo that has Pereira backing up. Pereira nods at Estripador to acknowledge the strikes.
Pereira tries to land a body kick
and Estripador counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Pereira moves away from the strike by Estripador.
Pereira misses with a head kick.

Estripador throws a head kick that Pereira semi-blocks.

It looks like Michel Pereira has been cut.
A looping hook to the body misses from Estripador. Pereira does a little dance to reset his feet.
Pereira fails with the takedown
and Estripador counters with a two punch combo.
Pereira closes the distance and clinches up with Estripador, looking for a takedown. Pereira pushes Estripador against the cage but Estripador circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jack Estripador has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michel Pereira.
Estripador lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Estripador.

Pereira closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Pereira's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Estripador wants the takedown. Pereira is fighting it off but Estripador persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Pereira's guard against the cage.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Estripador is looking to work some ground and pound but Pereira has wrist control.
Estripador working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Pereira's head.

Pereira is looking to sinch up a triangle. Estripador throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Pereira's body to avoid the submission. Pereira has instead reached around Estripador's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Pereira arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
