Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alfons Aberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silver Surfer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Surfer cracks a nice hook into Aberg's ribs.
No joy there for Aberg, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Aberg moves in looking to clinch but Surfer pushes him off.
Aberg is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Surfer.

Aberg gets a clinch.
Aberg doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Surfer jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Aberg walks away with a smile on his face. Surfer gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Aberg dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Surfer looks for a takedown but Aberg sprawls well.
Surfer throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Surfer will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Alfons Aberg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Silver Surfer.
Aberg tries to clinch up.
Surfer throws a right hand that Aberg ducks under and follows up with a left that Aberg also avoids with ease.
Surfer scores with a one two! Aberg had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Aberg tries to close the distance and clinch but Surfer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Aberg clinches up with Surfer and pushes him back against the cage.
Aberg wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Aberg gets through Surfer's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Aberg escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Surfer avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Aberg throws a right and a left that Surfer avoids nicely.
Aberg cracks Surfer with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Surfer fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Aberg tries to clinch but Surfer moves out of range.
Aberg misses with a straight right.

Surfer darts in and clinches Aberg up against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Surfer tries to work over Aberg's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Aberg is trying to push Surfer away but Surfer has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Surfer tries a body shot but Aberg blocks it.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Surfer manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Aberg manages to get himself to full guard.

Aberg is looking for a triangle but Surfer pushes his legs off easily.

Aberg escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Surfer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Aberg manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Surfer manages to get himself to full guard.
Surfer tries to land a sweep but no joy.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Surfer is on top in guard.

Surfer has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Surfer thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Aberg is looking to get to half guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Alfons Aberg will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Surfer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Aberg does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Silver Surfer has got the better of the ground game so far.

Aberg is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Surfer pulls his head out easily.

Surfer is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Aberg still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Aberg has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Aberg is working to tighten is grip on Surfer's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Surfer has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Aberg is really squeezing tight and eventually Surfer passes out! Aberg breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
