Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tomato Can Iii!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Peko Talalelei!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Can Iii being controlled against the cage.
Can Iii tries to score a body lock takedown but Talalelei shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Can Iii is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Talalelei is defending well.
Can Iii is breathing heavily.
Can Iii is trying to drag Talalelei to the mat but Talalelei just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tomato Can Iii. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Can Iii drops down looking for an ankle pick but Talalelei pulls his leg out and moves away.
Talalelei clinches up with Can Iii and pushes him back against the cage.

Talalelei pushes Can Iii back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Talalelei.
Can Iii could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Talalelei lands a hook that snaps the head of Can Iii backwards.
Talalelei gets through Can Iii's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Can Iii is rocked!
A right hook to the body lands for Talalelei.
Oh Can Iii is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Talalelei creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Can Iii with a big uppercut! Can Iii tries to clinch up but Talalelei pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Can Iii to the mat! Can Iii covers up and Talalelei unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Peko Talalelei!
Peko Talalelei really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Charlie Wang's Nutrition and 95 % Laundry logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
