Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Terry Aunor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roshihiro Funkiunga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Terry Aunor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Roshihiro Funkiunga!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Shimada and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aunor shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Funkiunga sprawls well. Funkiunga wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Aunor gets slowly back to his feet.
Aunor tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Funkiunga paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Funkiunga drives through with a takedown into Aunor's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Aunor escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Funkiunga gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Funkiunga makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Aunor is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Funkiunga wants to pass the guard but Aunor is keeping the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Aunor tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Funkiunga paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Funkiunga jumps guard but Aunor turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Funkiunga goes for a takedown in the clinch but Aunor prevents it.

Aunor lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Funkiunga backwards.
Funkiunga lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Aunor or not.
Aunor tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Aunor prevents the takedown attempt.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Aunor wants to break free but Funkiunga has control.
Aunor is trying to push Funkiunga away but Funkiunga has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Aunor leaves Funkiunga with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Funkiunga manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Aunor on his heels. He'll look to pass Aunor's guard now, I'm sure.

Funkiunga drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Aunor manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Funkiunga has Aunor in his guard.

Aunor gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Funkiunga fails to land with a series of punches.
Aunor takes a swing at Funkiunga's ribcage but misses.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Funkiunga circles away from the clinch attempt.
Aunor throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Roshihiro Funkiunga will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Funkiunga wants to clinch up but Aunor keeps it at a distance.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Funkiunga is defended easily by Aunor.
A bone on bone clash there as Funkiunga blocks the leg kick.
Aunor fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Funkiunga manages to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Funkiunga shoots in looking for a takedown. Aunor tries to sprawl out of it but Funkiunga keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Aunor manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Aunor gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Aunor is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Funkiunga is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aunor wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Aunor digs a right hand underneath Funkiunga's ribcage. Funkiunga let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Aunor tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Funkiunga manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Funkiunga moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Aunor has worked his arm free - good work by Aunor!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Aunor is trying to control Funkiunga's posture but Funkiunga avoids it.

Funkiunga is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Aunor has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Aunor!

That was a close second round but I would say that Terry Aunor will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Funkiunga throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Aunor's waist but Aunor gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Funkiunga off to one side.

Aunor looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Funkiunga is fending him off so far but Aunor persists. Nope, Funkiunga circles away and we're back to standing.
Aunor is looking to wear down Funkiunga with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Funkiunga shoots in but no luck this time.
Aunor fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Terry Aunor.
I think Aunor has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
