And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Seppo Sulkijalihas!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Roosa Järviläinen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sulkijalihas misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sulkijalihas stuffs the takedown.

Key clinches.
Sulkijalihas dodges an elbow strike from Key.
Key tries to land a knee to the head but Sulkijalihas blocks with his arms.

Key has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Sulkijalihas is trying to keep an underhook but Key manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Sulkijalihas kicks Key off and gets back to his feet.
Key misses with a takedown attempt - Sulkijalihas sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Sulkijalihas lands a head kick!


Key is rocked!
Key wants to clinch.
Sulkijalihas throws a sloppy head kick and Key moves out of range easily.
Sulkijalihas tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Key changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sulkijalihas looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Key is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sulkijalihas has escaped the position, nice work there.

Key tries for a kimura but Sulkijalihas is defending well.
Key is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sulkijalihas tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Sulkijalihas manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Sulkijalihas is looking to advance position but Key won't allow it.
Key wants to improve his position but Sulkijalihas is controlling well.
Sulkijalihas uses his free foot to push down on Key's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Key.

Sulkijalihas gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Sulkijalihas.

Sulkijalihas tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sulkijalihas decides to stand back up. Sulkijalihas steps back and let's Key get back to his feet.
Sulkijalihas scores with a head kick.
Sulkijalihas circles away from the clinch attempt.
Key doesn't manage to clinch there - Sulkijalihas circles away.
Sulkijalihas avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Key tries to clinch up.
Key drops his hands momentarily and Sulkijalihas takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Key tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Key fails with an attempt to clinch.
Key fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tim Key. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sulkijalihas feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Key is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Sulkijalihas rolls with it to try and escape but Key cranks on the arm and Sulkijalihas is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Tim Key!
