Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Luis Engracia and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Antonio shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jr as he avoids it easily.
Antonio looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jr looks to score with a jab to the body but Antonio is just out of range.

Jr throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Antonio was covering up waiting for the punch and Jr finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Jr avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Jr connects with a couple of short punches.
Jr controlling from the top position.
Antonio wants to get back to his feet but Jr passes into half guard.
Jr working the head and body with strikes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Antonio is trying to stand back up but Jr is controlling him
Antonio is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Jr scores with a couple of nice shots.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jr wants to control but Antonio is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Antonio is looking to improve his position.
Antonio moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Jr with a flurry of punches that miss.
Jr landing some decent shots from guard.
Antonio looking for a sweep. Not yet Antonio, not yet.
Antonio is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Jr distracts Antonio with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Jr missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Jr lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Antonio is rocked!
Jr with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Antonio is still in real trouble! Can Jr finish him?
Jr connects with a couple of short punches.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jr arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Antonio's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
