Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sub Zero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tatsuya Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Zero might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Mortal Kombat Theme. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sub Zero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tatsuya Aoki!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zero throws a low kick, looking for Aoki's leg but Aoki calmly moves out of range.
Zero showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Aoki.
Aoki is looking to clinch but Zero is avoiding it.
Aoki misses with a jab, cross combination.
Zero takes one to the side of the head.
Aoki slips under a jab.
Aoki tries to clinch but Zero moves away
and Aoki takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Aoki checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Zero with a jab.
Aoki just misses with a punch to the body.
Aoki steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Zero.

Aoki shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Aoki looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Aoki is controlling the pace.

Zero is staying active underneath Aoki, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Aoki is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Aoki takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Aoki performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Aoki not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Aoki passes to side control.

Aoki is trying to get an arm triangle but Zero is defending well.
Aoki tries to advance to mount but can't.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Zero is trying to work for a sweep but Aoki has mounted him!

Zero is desperately trying to improve his position but Aoki has a good base and remains in mount.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aoki takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Zero knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Aoki on the ground.
The referee warns Zero that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Aoki controlling the pace for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zero is squirming around, avoiding Aoki's attempts to control the action.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tatsuya Aoki dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Aoki misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Zero counters with an inside leg kick.
Aoki lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Zero lands a body shot.
Zero keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Aoki.
Aoki misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Zero.
Zero pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Zero attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Aoki takes a head kick and shrugs it off.


It looks like Tatsuya Aoki has been cut.
Aoki looks to land a combination but Zero avoids it well.
Aoki fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Zero slips a jab and a cross from Aoki.
Aoki throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Zero counters with a nice leg kick.
Aoki ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Zero moves away.
Zero leaves Aoki with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Tatsuya Aoki is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Aoki throws a series of punches but Zero avoids them all with ease.
Aoki shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Zero sprawls well. Zero wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Aoki gets slowly back to his feet.

Aoki shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Sloppy strikes from Zero. Those never looked like landing.
Aoki throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Zero.
Nice uppercut lands for Zero. That snapped Aoki's head back.
Aoki misses the shot to the body.
Zero lands a nice shot that snaps Aoki's head back.
Zero throws a series of punches but Aoki avoids them all with ease.
Aoki throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Zero stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Zero lands a lovely overhand right.
Aoki fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sub Zero is winning the standup battle so far.

Aoki darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Zero makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Zero.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Aoki is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Aoki tries to free his leg and advance position but Zero is retaining full guard.
Aoki wants to control from the top but Zero keeps moving.
Aoki postures up.

Aoki drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Zero dives on top into guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Aoki is looking to sinch up a triangle. Zero throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Aoki's body to avoid the submission. Aoki has instead reached around Zero's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Aoki arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Tatsuya Aoki!
