The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Penn drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Penn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kaiser swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kaiser keeping moving, preventing Penn from controlling successfully.
Kaiser is trying to keep Penn in close.
Kaiser looking to hit a scissor sweep but Penn is one step ahead there.
Penn looking to sit in guard and control but Kaiser gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Kaiser trying to stand up but can't free himself from Penn's guard.
Kaiser has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Kaiser slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Penn is trying to improve his position.

Kaiser wants to stand but Penn is controlling his arm.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Leon Kaiser wasn't doing enough on the ground.
No luck for Penn with that takedown attempt.

Horrible takedown by Penn or perhaps it was just good defense by Kaiser which made him look bad.
Penn walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

It looks like Steel Penn has been cut.
Look low, kick high! Kaiser uses the oldest trick in the book to send Penn tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Kaiser is absolutely delighted - when Penn wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!

Leon Kaiser decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
