Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ikuhisa Minowa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ikuhisa Minowa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michael Scott!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Minowa misses with a looping right.
Minowa throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Scott misses with a shot to the body
and Minowa makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Good standup being displayed there by Scott as he connects with a hook.

and Scott counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Minowa takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Scott slips a straight right by Minowa.
Minowa swings for the body but Scott moves out of range.

Scott uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Minowa.

Minowa shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Scott controls Minowa momentarily but Minowa frees himself.

Minowa decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Scott, up you get!
Scott throws a lazy uppercut
and Scott takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.


It looks like Michael Scott has been cut.
Minowa rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Scott moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Minowa ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Scott moves away.
Scott tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Minowa was well out of range. Poor timing from Scott.
Scott looks for a takedown but Minowa sprawls well.
Scott tries to score a power double leg takedown but Minowa sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Scott somewhat.

Minowa shoots in and gets a takedown into Scott's guard.
Scott can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Minowa controls the pace.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Minowa won't allow Scott to sweep him here.

Minowa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Scott throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Minowa sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Minowa tries to bum rush Scott with a series of wild strikes but Scott uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Minowa fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Minowa throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Scott thows a body shot but no joy.

Scott gets caught flat footed, as Minowa shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Minowa trying to control the position from guard on top but Scott is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

We're going to have a standup here because Ikuhisa Minowa wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Minowa throws a right hand that Scott ducks under and follows up with a left that Scott also avoids with ease.
A telegraphed right hand from Minowa misses the target.
Scott fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Ikuhisa Minowa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Scott.

Minowa throws a nice looking combination but Scott bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Michael Scott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Scott throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Minowa escapes and throws Scott's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Scott is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Minowa to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Minowa shrugs it off.

I would just about give that final round to Michael Scott.
I have no idea who won that fight. Let's wait and see whether the judges are as confused as me! Time for a split decision perhaps?!. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
