Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Genghis Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Genghis Khan could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Steve Rogers's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 1, fighting out of New York, Genghis Khan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steve Rogers!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, David Schapiro and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khan fails with an attempt to clinch.

letting Khan counter with a right hand.


It looks like Steve Rogers has been cut.
Rogers ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Khan moves away.
Rogers throws a one two combo.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rogers tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Khan paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Khan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rogers tries to avoid it but Khan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rogers to the ground. Rogers escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rogers lands with a nice combination. Khan backs away looking to recover.
Rogers misses with the combination.
Khan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Khan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
No luck for Khan with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Genghis Khan. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Rogers drives through and clinches with Khan against the cage.
Rogers lands a nice uppercut.

Rogers lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Khan tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Khan jumps guard but Rogers stands there with Khan around his waist. Khan gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Khan has Rogers pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Rogers manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Khan tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rogers smiles and moves away.
Rogers throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rogers closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Oooooh!!! Rogers has knocked Khan down with a huge combo! Rogers steps away and waves a wobbly Khan back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Genghis Khan has been cut.
Khan wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Rogers swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Khan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Khan. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

and Khan counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rogers looks gassed!

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Rogers manages to escape and get back to his feet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Khan is trying to get an arm triangle but Rogers is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Steve Rogers dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


The crowd cheers as Rogers lands an impressive looking overhand right. Khan doesn't seem phased though.

Khan is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Rogers to keep the fight standing.

Still in the clinch, Rogers scores with a nice short uppercut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rogers unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Khan! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Rogers is unloading with more strikes now! Khan drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steve Rogers!
