Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rambo John J (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robbie Lawlor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John J has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Robbie Lawlor!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, John Mangel and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
John J looks to land a combination but Lawlor avoids it well.
John J rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lawlor moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
John J is breathing heavily.

John J gets caught flat footed, as Lawlor shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Lawlor passes into half guard.
Lawlor slows the pace down in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
I looks like Lawlor might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Lawlor's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Let's hope that Lawlor has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
