Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stewie Dent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dark Matter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matter doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Dent counters with a stiff right hand.
Dent stuffs the takedown attempt from Matter. Matter gets slowly back to his feet.

Stewie Dent has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dark Matter.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Matter decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Dent is trying is best to control the position here.
Matter is looking to advance position but Dent won't allow it.

Matter is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Dent defends it well.
Dent is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Matter's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Matter's back!

Matter tries to escape but Dent has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Matter trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Matter looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.

Dent doesn't have the hooks in and Matter manages to turn into his guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Dent avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Dent cracks Matter with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Matter looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Dent finish him?
Dark Matter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Dent drops Matter with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Matter looks back up at him and smiles so Dent waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Matter is rocked!
Dent stuffs the takedown attempt from Matter. Matter gets slowly back to his feet.
Matter looks gassed!
Matter throws a poor cross that misses
and Dent counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!

After winning the bout, Stewie Dent thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
