Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Reilly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Red. Reilly has chosen Trouble Man as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bobby Reilly!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones darts in and clinches Reilly up against the cage.
Jones wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Reilly has him pressed against the cage.

Reilly changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jones fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Jones is looking to break free of the clinch but Reilly has double underhooks.

Jones fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Reilly, pushing him back against the cage.
Jones throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

A frustrated look appears on Jones's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Reilly breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Reilly lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Reilly dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Reilly's head and hops out.

Reilly lands a left and a right that sends Jones crashing to the canvas! Reilly dives into mount looking to finish!


Jones is rocked!


Mike Jones's cut is getting worse.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Reilly trying to control but Jones is having none of it.
Oh Jones is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Reilly is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Jones is surviving well by controlling Reilly's body position as best he can.
Jones seems to have got his legs back now.
Jones is trying to escape the mount.
Jones is squirming around, avoiding Reilly's attempts to control the action.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jones working to try and regain half guard.
Reilly content just to control the position here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bobby Reilly dominated that round.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Reilly tries to keep at a distance but Jones has taken the fight into the clinch.
Jones wants to break free but Reilly has control.

Jones lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Jones.
Jones takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Reilly fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jones avoids it really well and circles away.

Reilly pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jones's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Jones duly obliges.
Jones takes a swing at Reilly's ribcage but misses.
Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Reilly shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jones sprawls well. Jones wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Reilly gets slowly back to his feet.

Jones throws a low kick, looking for Reilly's leg but Reilly calmly moves out of range.
Jones throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Reilly stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Reilly trying to control from half guard but Jones is working away.
Jones is looking to improve his position.

Reilly postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Jones to stand up.

Jones forces Reilly back against the cage and clinches.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Reilly has Jones pressed against the cage, preventing Jones from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Jones stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Reilly's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jones sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Reilly shoots for a double leg takedown but Jones sprawls well. He's pushed Reilly's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Jones lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mike Jones will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

Jones is trying to force a seperation but Reilly has the dominant position.

Jones blocks an elbow strike.

Reilly breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Reilly tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Reilly moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
A punch combination from Jones misses.
Reilly scoring well with a low kick there.
Jones keeps the fight on the outside.
Jones misses with a series of wild punches.
Jones swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Reilly shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Jones jabs Reilly to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Mike Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Jones tries to lock up and control but Reilly gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Jones is trying to stand up.
Reilly throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Jones because Reilly loaded up on that one.
Jones takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Reilly looking to control but Jones is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Reilly might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jones kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Jones wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Reilly.
Reilly lands with some strikes.
Reilly trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Reilly takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Reilly avoids the attempt from Jones to control.
Reilly controlling from the full mount.
Reilly looking to control but Jones is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Reilly breaks from Jones's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Jones knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Reilly on the ground.

Reilly dominating with strikes here.
Reilly has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Jones is working to get back to half guard.
Jones tries to hold on but Reilly pushes him away.
Jones is trying desperately to improve position.
Bobby Reilly has got the better of the ground game so far.

Reilly is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jones can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Jones tries to lock up and control but Reilly gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

I think Reilly has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Bobby Reilly decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
