Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Olli Kuhta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kuhta comes to the cage accompanied by Break Out. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Olli Kuhta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jake Harris!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris avoids the body shot from Kuhta.
Kuhta misses with the combination.
Kuhta tries to clinch but Harris moves away

and Harris counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kuhta!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Kuhta keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Harris has control of Kuhta's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kuhta regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kuhta tries to lock up and control but Harris gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Harris moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Kuhta has worked his arm free - good work by Kuhta!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Harris thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Kuhta gets back to half guard.

Kuhta is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Harris pulls his head out easily.

Harris is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kuhta doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Harris.
Kuhta tries to get to full guard but Harris has control of the leg.
Kuhta is working hard here to advance position.
Kuhta wants to control but Harris is keeping busy.

Harris seems to be looking for submissions.
Harris wants to free his trapped foot but Kuhta is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Harris looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Kuhta is trying to maintain the position but Harris is very close to passing his half guard.
Kuhta makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kuhta.

Harris drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Harris jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Harris is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Harris drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kuhta dives on top into guard.

Harris shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Kuhta manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Harris stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kuhta swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kuhta is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Harris drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kuhta dives on top into guard.

Kuhta got a little sloppy there for a moment and Harris has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kuhta has managed to get both his arms back between Harris's legs - danger averted.

Harris doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Kuhta is pushing down on Harris's leg trying to pass to half guard. Harris is fighting to maintain full guard but Kuhta has managed to sneak the leg through.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Harris tries to roll over but Kuhta keeps him under control.

Harris is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Kuhta is controlling him well.

That was a close second round but I would say that Olli Kuhta will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Harris slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
You can see the frustration on Kuhta's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Harris wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kuhta, who protects the arm well.

Kuhta tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Kuhta has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Harris is working away from the top position though.

Harris frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kuhta sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Harris's guard.
Kuhta wants to pass to mount but Harris is defending the position.

I think Harris has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
