The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A head kick lands from Villa that sends Falconowski to the canvas. Falconowski tries to scramble back to his feet but Villa brings him back down into side control.

It looks like Falcon Falconowski has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Villa tries to move into full mount but can't pass Falconowski's legs.
Villa trying to control the action but Falconowski is working from the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Villa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Falconowski keeps working.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Rafael Villa was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Falconowski throws the kick towards the body but Villa avoids it.
Villa fails with a takedown attempt.

Villa misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Villa shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Villa uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Falconowski.
Villa bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Falconowski cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Falcon Falconowski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rafael Villa.
Villa looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Falconowski is fending him off so far but Villa persists. Nope, Falconowski circles away and we're back to standing.
Rafael Villa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Villa will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Falconowski throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Villa gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Villa is rocked!
Villa gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Falconowski points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Villa wakes up just in time to hear Falconowski thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

Falcon Falconowski spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
