The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Severence as he jumps to the side.
Nice takedown defense from Severence. No joy for Mir on that attempt.
Mir shoots in and drives through. Severence sprawls well.
Drey Severence has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Crank Mir.
Mir takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Mir shoots for a takedown but Severence saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A combination from Mir does no damage.
Severence tries to clinch there but Mir circles away.
A jab from Severence does it's job there.

It looks like Crank Mir has been cut.

Severence bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Mir is not content to let Severence control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Severence is looking to clinch but Mir is avoiding it.
Mir should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Mir has his takedown stuffed
and Severence counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Mir has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!
