The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baptista fails with a takedown attempt.
Baptista looks to score with a jab to the body but Buck is just out of range.
Buck connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Baptista's hands.
Buck swings for the body but Baptista moves out of range.
Buck connects with a single shot there.
Buck shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Buck takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Baptista on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Buck avoids the body shot from Baptista.

Baptista shoots in for a takedown but Buck shows good takedown defense.
Buck throws a hook to the side of Baptista's head but Baptista sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Buck fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Baptista looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Buck misses with the combination.
Buck throws the left hand but Baptista avoids the punch easily.

Buck works the jab nicely.

and Buck counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Baptista thinking.
Buck connects with a leg kick. Baptista looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Buck thows a body shot but no joy.
Baptista doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Buck misses with a hook to the body

and Baptista counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Buck's guard now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Baptista maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Buck could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Baptista has cracked it and Buck is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Baptista!
