The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Utter fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
McHale misses with a jab, cross combination.
Utter tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Utter misses the shot to the body.
Utter misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from McHale.
McHale displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Utter throws out the jab.
Utter tries to bum rush McHale with a series of wild strikes but McHale uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Utter throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
McHale just misses with a punch to the body.
Utter throws a right and a left that McHale avoids nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McHale swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Utter misses the shot to the body.
Utter pivots, looking for a leg kick but McHale is out of range and Utter settles back down.
McHale dodges the punch combination from Utter.

McHale shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. McHale showed some decent athleticism there.
McHale throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McHale not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Utter blocking the ground and pound attempt from McHale.
McHale thows a huge punch but Utter dodges it nicely.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. McHale lands a nice short elbow.
Utter trying to control but McHale postures up.
McHale is just content to waste time from the top position. Utter takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells McHale's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
McHale is pushing down on Utter's leg trying to pass to half guard. Utter is fighting to maintain full guard but McHale has managed to sneak the leg through.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McHale lands strikes from half guard.
Utter is looking to improve his position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Utter can do anything to dispel that myth.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McHale thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Utter's head.
McHale takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
McHale throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Utter is controlling McHale's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Beaumont McHale showed his dominance in that final round.
