The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Goodes scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Goodes looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Goodes is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Peters is just riding it out for now. Goodes eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Peters has a hand on Goodes's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Goodes takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Goodes is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Peters to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Peters shrugs it off.

Goodes is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Goodes extends the arm and Peters is forced to tap!
