Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Julio Cezar De Lima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Brago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Julio Cezar De Lima looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Lima closes the distance looking to clinch

and Brago counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
De Lima avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Brago tries to free his leg and advance position but De Lima is retaining full guard.
Brago throwing strikes but missing.
De Lima wants to stand but Brago is controlling the position.
Brago slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Let's hope that Brago has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Brago wants to control from the top but De Lima keeps moving.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ivan Brago hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Brago misses with a shot to the body
and De Lima counters with an outside leg kick.

De Lima tries to keep at a distance but Brago has taken the fight into the clinch.

Brago breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
De Lima wants to clinch but Brago slips to the side

and Brago counters by moving into the clinch.

Brago jumps into guard, dragging De Lima to the mat.
De Lima looking to sit in guard and control but Brago gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
De Lima doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Brago trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Brago trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but De Lima manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Brago really doesn't want to stay on the ground with De Lima. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

De Lima throws a big right hand that misses.
De Lima trying to stand up but can't free himself from Brago's guard.
Brago pulls De Lima in close to his closed guard and prevents De Lima from doing any damage or advancing position.
De Lima works a leg free and moves into half guard.

De Lima looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
De Lima tries to stand but can't do so whilst Brago controls his leg.

De Lima is keen to just control but Brago is a slippery customer.
De Lima moves into full mount! Brago won't be happy about that!
De Lima manages to capitalize on a mistake by Brago to take his back!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Will De Lima go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Brago throws a right and a left that both miss.
De Lima throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Brago.

Brago drives through with a takedown into guard.

Ivan Brago has got the better of the ground game so far.

Brago drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and De Lima dives on top into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
De Lima trying to control the position from guard on top but Brago is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
De Lima is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Brago is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Julio Cezar De Lima.
De Lima throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
De Lima buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Brago is breathing heavily.
Brago throws a head kick but De Lima moves out of range.
De Lima has a takedown stuffed.

and Brago counters with a single leg into guard. De Lima didn't expect that.

De Lima is looking to sinch up a triangle. Brago throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to De Lima's body to avoid the submission. De Lima has instead reached around Brago's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! De Lima arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
