The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miles tries to sprawl but Naldo drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Miles pushes Naldo off and gets back to his feet.
Miles has taken the fight to the clinch.
Miles has a couple of punches blocked by Naldo.
Miles drops down looking for an ankle pick but Naldo pulls his leg out and moves away.
Naldo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Miles swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Naldo is looking to clinch but Miles is avoiding it.
Naldo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Naldo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Naldo slips under a jab from Miles.

Miles swats away the attempt to clinch by Naldo.
Miles throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Naldo works over Miles's head and body with a nice combination.
Miles avoids a punch combination nicely.
Miles lands with a nice combination. Naldo backs away looking to recover.
It looks like Uriel Naldo has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Naldo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Miles is pushing down on Naldo's leg trying to pass to half guard. Naldo is fighting to maintain full guard but Miles has managed to sneak the leg through.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Miles drops an elbow to the side of Naldo's head.

Miles has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Miles slips a nice elbow through Naldo's hands, connecting with Naldo's forehead.
