Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pojebski Hagrid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stefan Leijon!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leijon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hagrid moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hagrid moves in looking to clinch but Leijon pushes him off.
Leijon throws a head kick that misses.
Leijon throws a hook to the side of Hagrid's head but Hagrid sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
No joy there for Leijon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Leijon throws a sloppy head kick
and Hagrid counters by clinching up.
Hagrid pulls Leijon into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Hagrid has a closed guard, preventing Leijon from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hagrid pushes a forearm under Leijon's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Leijon is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Pojebski Hagrid!
