The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roquentin throws a nice looking combination but Novikov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Roquentin fails with the takedown.
Roquentin shoots in and drives through. Novikov sprawls well.
Roquentin tries to clinch there but Novikov circles away.
Novikov keeps the fight on the outside.

Novikov shoots in and bounces Roquentin off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Novikov stands and throws Roquentin's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Roquentin manages to work his way to half guard, despite Novikov's best efforts.
Novikov has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Novikov cracks Roquentin with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Novikov avoids the attempt from Roquentin to control.

Novikov is working for a guillotine from mount but Roquentin frees his head quite easily.
Novikov cracks Roquentin with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
