The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vega lands with a nice body kick.
Riley shoots for a takedown but Vega saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Vega throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Vega stuffs the takedown.
Vega throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Vega. Riley shrugs it off though.
Riley could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Vega lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Oh Riley is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Riley is breathing heavily.
Vega delivers a nice body kick.
Riley seems to have got his legs back now.
Vega throws a front kick that sends Riley stumbling back into the cage.
Riley shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Vega as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Trevor Riley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Vega thumps Riley with a low kick.
Vega thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Riley if he has to take too many more of those.
Vega scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
