The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belfort shoots for a double leg takedown but Jack sprawls well. He's pushed Belfort's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Belfort shoots in for a takedown but Jack shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Jack fakes the leg kick and cracks Belfort in the body.
Belfort shoots in looking for a takedown. Jack tries to sprawl out of it but Belfort keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jack manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vitor Belfort. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jack throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
