The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Fujiwara and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
HooHar walks into a jab.
Asuke scores with a jab. HooHar acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
HooHar throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling Asuke to counter with a crisp jab.
HooHar looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
A lazy left from Asuke finds it's target.
Asuke pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
HooHar displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Asuke throws out the jab.

HooHar throws a leg kick but Asuke moved away.
Asuke throws a shot from downtown. HooHar moves away and avoids it.

HooHar shoots for a takedown but Asuke saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
HooHar moves out of range of the strikes.
HooHar moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Asuke stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Asuke wants it to stay on the feet.
Asuke lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Asuke is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
HooHar shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Asuke but Asuke pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Ritsuko Asuke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harry HooHar.
Asuke works HooHar's body with a nice hook.

HooHar fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
It looks like Ritsuko Asuke has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
HooHar feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Asuke had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. HooHar defends it easily.
HooHar postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
HooHar postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Asuke working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. HooHar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Asuke is tightening it up a little... HooHar has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! HooHar reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! HooHar taps out! Nice BJJ there by Asuke!
