PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Silik Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mr Pearl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hunt might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to London Calling. Pearl is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by yes. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Mr Pearl enters the cage!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mr Pearl!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Glass and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Hunt.
Hunt swats away the attempt to clinch by Pearl.
Hunt throws a head kick but Pearl moves out of range.
Hunt misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pearl.
Pearl tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Hunt throws a leg kick but Pearl moved away.
Pearl scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Pearl throws a series of punches but Hunt moves out of range.
Hunt lands a jab to the head.
A left and a right from Pearl both land. Nice combination.
Pearl uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hunt.
Hunt feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Pearls jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Pearl fails with a takedown attempt.
Pearl takes a shot to the body in his stride.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pearl.
Hunt lands with a nice body punch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pearl cracks Hunt with an open hand slap.
Pearl misses with a looping left.
A jab from Hunt misses.
Pearl moves out of range of the strikes.
Jab by Hunt.
Hunt misses with a two punch combination.
Pearl tries to clinch but Hunt moves away
and Hunt counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Pearl takes a jab right on the kisser.
Pearl keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hunt misses with a shot to the body
and Pearl counters with a series of strikes. Hunt will be more careful next time no doubt.
Hunt avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A swing and a miss from Hunt.
Pearl misses with a series of wild punches.
Pearl moves out of range of the body kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Pearl closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hunt did well to prevent Pearl getting side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Pearl is looking for a kimura but Hunt is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Pearl to get the leverage.

Hunt manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Hunt lands with a slapping head kick.
Pearl fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Silik Hunt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mr Pearl.
Hunt looks to land a combination. Pearl sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Pearl is rocked!
Pearl moves to clinch but Hunt breaks away
and Hunt counters with a huge left! Pearl is in big trouble! He's backing up but Hunt isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Pearl from any more damage. A dominating finish by Hunt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Silik Hunt!
